Gandhian socialism

Gandhian socialism is the branch of socialism based on theories of Gandhi. The theory is inspired from Hind Swaraj or Indian Home Rule written by Gandhi.

Decentralization of political and economical power , Skeptic approach towards technology and large scale idustrialization, Emphasis on Self Employment, Emphasis on self-reliance are the few features of Gandhian Socialism.

Gandhian socialism has been one of the first principles adopted by the Bharatiya Janata Party in India, during some part of its history, since the eighties. It has been used as a prime principal, in association or competition, with the other concept of integral humanism.

Under the name Vedic socialism similar concept was also introduced by Swami Agnivesh.
